Privacy policy

Your privacy is important. In this privacy policy, we explain how we collect and use data about our users, and how we take privacy into account.

Who we are

Mobile Transaction is an information site about payment solutions, run by Polynia Ltd. Our website address is: https://www.mobiletransaction.org.

What personal data we collect and why

Personal data is data and assessments that can be linked to an individual. This could be a name, place of residence, phone number, email address, or a combination of these, which makes it possible to infer who is behind the data. In some cases, even a simple and ubiquitous IP address, without which the Internet could not function, can be considered personal data.

Use of personal data is considered as processing of personal information, such as collection, registration, assembly, storage and disclosure, or a combination of these.

We do not require nor do we accept registration of user profiles, and as such do not collect personal data like that. We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers or physical addresses.

Contact form

If you contact us through our contact form, the information is sent by e-mail, and we may store information contained in the email on our email server. For the benefit of individuals who may not understand that voluntarily submitting personal information means submitting personal information, we make our users aware of this by providing a consent box at the end of the contact form.

We deliberately ask for as little information as possible on the contact form. We only ask for your name and email address. Users are free to provide an alias as their name. However, since some users may like an email response, we ask for an e-mail address. Please do not give your phone number. We will not call you.

Cookies

To make the website work and to improve the experience of our users, we use cookies like everyone else.

We may offer special discounts of third party products. Such discounts are only available through our links to third party websites – see below under “Where we send your data”. In order for the discounts to be triggered on the third party websites, cookies need to be enabled and placed after you click on the discount link. Therefore, cookies necessary for getting discounts cannot be disabled, and by clicking, you consent to the technical solution necessary to obtain the discount.

We do not get personally identifiable information regarding your activity following an outbound click. For example, if you read a review on our website and decide to order a reviewed product using a discount link provided, we will not get identifiable information regarding your purchase or registration.

Fonts

There has been some concern that using fonts hosted elsewhere may be recorded there. To the extent possible, we have localised the hosting of fonts and scripts.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content. At the last update of this policy, we used embedded content from YouTube and Vimeo. Embedded content from other websites mostly behaves in the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website. Your consent is asked to view such videos.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Following the entry into force of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679, we have decided to remove all externally hosted advertising banners from our website. Any advertising banner on our site is hosted on our local server.

Who we share your data with

We use Google Analytics to understand user behaviour better and improve the user experience on our website. Google Analytics use IP addresses. We have chosen to anonymise these by deleting part of the IP address.

Our website utilises a content delivery network (CDN) to decrease the load times of images and other content, and as such improve the site experience of our users. The CDN services we use are KeyCDN and Cloudflare.

KeyCDN and Cloudflare allow data controllers to gather visitor log information for the purpose of analysing, testing, and troubleshooting. Client IP addresses are anonymised within the content delivery logs provided. Furthermore, statistical data is aggregated and does not contain any personal data.

Where we send your data

Some articles on this site may contain links to external websites that contain third party tracking, also called affiliate links. See the article How this website is financed for more information. Such external links utilise cookies and may pass on IP addresses. The third party software used for such tracking links have their own privacy policy. To the best of our knowledge, the third party services are compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.

What third parties we receive data from

We do not receive profiling data other than that which is collected on our site.

How long we retain your data

Data transmitted by email through our contact form are kept on our email server without an expiry date.

Google Analytics data is retained for 50 months.

What rights you have over your data

You have rights in relation to your personal data and how it is processed. You can exercise these rights at any point.

We do not collect personal data. For users who submit a contact form through our site, we ask for explicit consent. You have the right to withdraw such consent at any time and require the deletion of the data you have submitted through the contact form. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal or security purposes.

To withdraw your consent, please contact us.

How you can contact us

The Privacy Officer can be contacted through our contact form or through privacy [at] mobiletransaction [dot] org .

How we protect your data

We take data security seriously and make efforts to put procedures in place to prevent data breaches. All traffic to our site uses SSL encryption.

As part of a security and privacy assessment, we have decided to host our site within the European Economic Area with a GDPR compliant host, ChemiCloud.
